GDPR | a year on | some practical guidance | Swindon talk
September 18 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force over a year ago. It affected virtually all UK businesses and changed the form of a large number of commercial contracts.
Now that it has been in force for a while, the real impact of the Regulation is beginning to emerge; this includes
• the Information Commissioner’s Office’s approach to enforcement and fines
• issues with data transfers (and standard contractual wording)
• when to report data breaches to the ICO within the mandatory 72 hours
• responding to subject access requests (often from disaffected former employees)
To share our practical experience of GDPR since its introduction we are offering a talk in Swindon. The emphasis will be on the hard practical implications of GDPR for business.
We will be serving breakfast from 8:30am and the talk will begin at 9:00am
