Clark Holt are delighted to have acted on the sale of Sundog Media Toolkit Ltd to Hollywood-based Deluxe Media Inc.
Sundog is the leading automated SaaS solution for mastering and versioning TV and movies. Deluxe is a global provider of digital and cloud based solutions and has been one of the industry’s leading post-production film facilities for nearly a century.
This is another example of Clark Holt’s corporate transactions in the specialist IT sector involving overseas acquirers.
Philip Humphreys, Peter James and Gail Vallis from Clark Holt worked with CEO Richard Welsh and CTO Chris Ralph on the deal.
Richard Welsh commented “We couldn’t wish to have worked with a nicer or more professional group. You made all the difference to the acquisition process for us and we also massively appreciate your support with all our legal requirements over the last 7+ years. Working with you has been an absolute pleasure”
Founded in 2013 by CEO Richard Welsh and CTO Chris Ralph, Sundog developed an automated, cloud-based platform used to create multi-format and language files for theatrical distribution and streaming platforms. With the deal, Welsh and Ralph have joined Deluxe in senior executive positions.
“With our combined drive for innovation and Deluxe’s global footprint, we will be able to extend our cloud automation technologies to customers worldwide,” said Welsh.
Deluxe’s services include content mastering, asset/library management, localisation and delivery. “Sundog will provide us with an expansion and enhancement of our robust technology-driven services, adding efficiency, speed, and scale,” said Deluxe CEO Cyril Drabinsky.
